RAF KINLOSS, Kinloss,
Moray
|
We are able
to supply and install specialist sports equipment for a wide range of
facilities.
This project,
at RAF Kinloss, showcases a number of items which are modified specifically
for use by the Forces. |

Horizontal
Beams
Hinged
Beams, also known as Hinged ‘Booms' are a well-known and widely
used piece of apparatus, providing a flexible balance exercise
station.
Wall-fixed,
these units fold flat against the wall for storage, minimising
their impact on useful space when not in use. They are braced
in position using a simple lever-tensioned wire rope arrangement.
This
example is higher than standard Primary or Secondary school units
as it is higher – for Forces use. |

Rope
/ Activity Frames
Another
standard piece of gymnasium equipment is the Rope / Activity frame.
Again,
wall-fixed, these frames fold flat against the wall for storage
and are braced in position with a tensioned wire rope.
They
can be used to suspend a variety of apparatus such as ropes, rope
ladders and trapezes.
Also
available in a selection of heights to suit your requirements.

Wallbars
Wallbars
are a simple, but effective inclusion in any gymnasium or sports
hall. They are a familiar sight in facilities throughout the country.
Available
in various sizes, this example is again tailored to the requirements
of the Forces.
As
well as the ‘standard' type shown, they are available in the ‘rehab'
model which features a top bar set out from the others.
The
units can also be installed slightly raised off the floor to allow
for ease of cleaning access (known as ‘hygienic' fitting). |

Roof-Mounted
Basketball Goals
Matchplay
basketball goals can be fitted in a variety of manners – this
example shows roof-mounted.
These
can be fitted where the end walls of the facility do not lend
themselves to fixing, or where there is no end wall at the end
of the court area.
These
goals fold upwards into the roofspace, ensuring a clear space
below for other activities.
Operated
by electric winch and remote control, they also remove any manual
handling concerns.
This
example illustrates acrylic backboards which are also available
as an option to standard laminated timber.
